In The Spring

Often in the spring
Before the snow begins to melt
Before the grass begins to sprout
There is in the silence
An aroma on the wind
Old Jack Frost has been speaking
With the lady of the spring
Her perfume lingers in his wake
Hinting at the promise of the beauty to come
And the life in the unfolding of every leaf and petal

I'm trying not to collect too many extra plants this spring as I'm not sure what we'll do with them in the fall. We're planning on going stateside for a while if all goes well, praying for paperwork and what not to come through in time.

But despite all of that I couldn't resist getting some flowers for the house, apparently every one else in town had the same idea as the market was more crowded then I've ever seen it! I was very tempted to buy some of the beautiful crocuses they had but hyacinths will do. They make the house smell so sweet!
