Beach Plums are a tiny little plum about half the size of a grape, the grow wild around here and are just coming into season. When I was a little girl we would pick them every year and then make wild beach plum jelly. Then in the spring we would sell the excess, some people loved it so much they'd pre-order a case. The difficulty was always how hot our little kitchen would get, so after the initial picking we would cook them down to a pulp, straining off the seeds and skins before freezing. After summer passes and the chilly days of autumn come it's time to take it out of the freezer and warm the kitchen up with the beautiful sticky process which is jelly making! Its been a long time, but I decided that this year its time to do it again!
